At Průmyslovka in Prosek they trained teachers from all over the country | PRAGUE | News
Even teachers have to learn somewhere, especially when it comes to constantly evolving technology. Chancellors of industrial schools from various parts of the Czech Republic, but also Slovakia, had this opportunity at the Secondary Industrial School in Prosek in Prague. Two workshops took place here. One appeared during work in the Fusion program, where educators had to model a Christmas tree, which they then burned in a laser device, i.e. printed on a so-called 3D printer. The second workshop dealt with algorithmic modeling – defacto programming.
“The aim of today’s workshops is to advance the teachers. To advance them in modern technologies. To show them the methods of teaching and to show them new technologies that can be integrated into that teaching”, reminded the deputy director of the Secondary Technical School in Prosek in Prague Lukáš Walk.
“I am the implementer of the Autodesk Academy program, which has the task of educating the pedagogy of secondary, higher vocational schools and universities in technical education and advancing them further. Here, pedagogues are educated either directly on courses designed for a specific type of software or at such conferences” , says Eva Rozehnalová, director of the Computer Agency.
The pedagogues then pass on their new knowledge to the students, and the students work on a complex project based on the company’s program, on the basis of which an internationally valid Autodesk certificate is valid. This educational program has been running for 25 years, the conferences are always every 2 years.
“Student competitions, which are part of that program and always take place in the spring, are held every year. // It always takes place at a member school, on a certain topic. Students come and can win really valuable prizes in the competition”, added Eva Rozehnalová .
But the experts themselves mentioned during these workshops the fact that before you finish the course, you can start another course. According to them, technology moves forward so quickly.
The path to successful implementation is much longer. It’s not just about training those teachers. It is necessary for those teachers to make a new curriculum and incorporate it into the teaching. And only then did they find certain procedures to get it into the children appropriately, so that there is the maximum benefit from the education, added Lukáš Procházka.
The motto of one of the workshops was:
“Let’s throw away the paper drawings and record it all with digital prototypes, where we will keep the essential things. This is because this will speed up the process and the error rate. The error in that technique is huge for money”, emphasized the deputy director of the Prosecco Industrial Institute.
The workshops included not only the practical part, but also the theoretical part in the form of thematic lectures and discussions. Ladislav Jakub, TV Prague.
