The winners of Lyon Start Up are…
At the end of the four months that the support program for entrepreneurship in the pre-creation phase lasts, Lyon Start Up has revealed the names of the four winning projects of its 12e promotion. It is Fermavers who wins the Grand Prix.
From one hundred at the start of the program in September, there were only twelve left during the final phase which took place on December 6. Twelve project leaders who pitched in front of the final jury, made up of program partners.
Four awards were tracked. The Grand Prix, which receives an endowment of 15,000 euros, was given to the project Fermaversled by Camille Sotton and Théo Perrochon who want to develop insect production modules for poultry producers, to feed animals, replacing soybeans, a cause of deforestation.
The second prize (10,000 euros) went to SynBiozis, worn by Eytham Souibgui. He wants to use microorganisms to produce alternative materials, biofuels and foods in an environmentally friendly way. Its objective is to develop a platform capable of producing much more efficient microbial strains.
The third prize went to Zip-Zag, worn by Alexandre Cartier. Zip Zag is an industrial start-up that has designed machine tools incorporating breakthrough innovations.
Finally, the favorite of the godmother, Marion Guichard, co-founder of Chemlys, went to the project packo by Ahmed Abdel Rahman. He wants to replace disposable e-commerce packaging with a rigid package that can be reused up to 100 times.
Aymaou, favorite of the press jury
New this year, a press jury, made up of media from Lyon, including Bref Eco, also proposed a prize. His choice fell on the project Aymaou, by Rachel Tchalla-Gagne. She wants to develop a brand of tailor-made lingerie adapted to women who have been made following breast cancer.
Created in 2014 by the Métropole de Lyon, Lyon Start Up has been, since this 12th edition, deployed by the French Tech One Lyon Saint-Etienne. Project leaders benefit from four months of support which enables them to develop their networks and their projects, thanks to more than 70 hours of thematic training, for the most part, by the financial partners of the scheme.
