The game

On behalf of the 14th day of U17 Nationnaux, our young Reds received FC Lyon, an amateur team that has been in this championship for several seasons. Despite a good start to the game for the Reds, it was the more realistic Gones who returned to the locker room with a two-goal lead.

The players of Johan Roubault and Anthony Le Tallec will return to the pitch with the desire to end the year on a positive note. With the personality of character and determination, the Reds claimed the score in the space of 3 minutes thanks to a double from their striker Paris (62′ and 65′).

In a disputed encounter, both teams will have the possibility of winning the match, but the score will not change.

Coach’s reaction : “It was a difficult game, despite a good start to the game, we were down 2-0 at half-time and the boys played with character, personality and quality to come back to score, it’s very positive. is like our first part of the season which is remarkable, the team is progressing and the whole group is flourishing on a daily basis in a collective framework. We really have to congratulate them, as well as the staff and all the coaches. who works all week

A 13th consecutive year in 17 Nationals

For this 2022/2023 season, the U17 category under the leadership of the duo J.Roubault and A.Le Tallec in place for 2 years ends this first part of the season in a remarkable way. With more than 250 matches at this high level of practice, the FCA is gaining experience and settling there for the long term. Appearing in group C with professional clubs such as Olympique Lyonnais, FC Metz, RC Strasbourg, DFCO or with confirmed amateur clubs such as FC Lyon and FBBP01. The FCA, despite a sluggish start to the season, with a heavy defeat on the lawn of Andrézieux-Bouthéon (4-1) for the first day followed by a draw (2-2) against FC Lyon, launches its season with a reference match at home against Olympique Lyonnais by winning 1-0.

The Sports Park, an impregnable fortress

With this victory at home during the 3rd day against Les Gones, a dynamic is launched. The month of October with two away draws against RC Bensaçon and FC Sochaux associated with home victories against professional clubs FC Metz and Dijon FCO will confirm this good momentum. A defeat on the lawn of Clermont Foot 63 on November 20 will break this series of matches without defeat. Before giving way to the truce, the group ends the year 2022 with a success against US Thionville Lusitanos (3-0) and a draw (2-2) against FC Lyon at home. With a total of 5 wins and 2 draws this generation of 2006 makes the Parc des Sports a place where it is difficult for visitors to come and take points.

The FCA ends this first part of the season in 5th place with a total of 23 points in 14 days and ranks 2nd amateur team behind the FBBP01. During the 2014/2015 and 2016/2017 seasons, FCA finished 4th at the end of the championship, a performance that the 2006 generation would be able to match? Answer on May 14th.

Coach’s reaction : “The most difficult thing is to repeat the good performances. I used 26 players in the first 14 games, a sign of the good health of our training. We support them support the boys in their double project through our game identity and our values. The idea is to develop a complete football to make the players intelligent, that they can respond as effectively as possible to different game situations according to their individual characteristics. We finish this phase first leg 5th and unbeaten at home, c This is an important milestone in the training course for players.”

Determined and still undefeated at home, the Reds are ranked 5th in the U17 National Championship of Group C.

Next meeting on Sunday January 15, with a trip to Olympique Lyonnais.
