A Lislois surrounded by Olympic stars in the Principality of Monaco
“It was awesome! Richard Molinier from Lislois has just returned from a week in the Principality of Monaco where he took part in the thirteenth edition of the Peace and Sport international forum.
This is his second venue at this event.
Based in Monaco, since its creation in 2007, this neutral and independent organization promotes the construction of peaceful, inclusive and equitable communities through the power of sport and the values it conveys.
“I’m the handyman for this event,” he says, smiling. Driver of high-level sportsmen, but also electrician, doorman or even ambianceur. This year, the chosen theme “Sport, a response for peace” made it possible to challenge international decision-makers to prevent the use of sport as a tool for transmitting the values of peace, based on its universality.
“I had a great adventure putting myself at the service of this whole team for the success of this major event. I had great meetings and exchanges with everyone, especially with Stéphane Diagana with whom we spoke about his Tarn attachés. His meeting with “the little queens of Kabul”, two Afghan cyclists, remains etched in his memory.
“Cycling for a woman in Afghanistan is a daily struggle. The Taliban and Daesh don’t want women riding bikes. Their desire is to pedal freely with other girls in the world. »
Richard Molinier, at the request of the president of Peace and Sport, is responsible for organizing an event in the Tarn around young people in difficulty. We will talk about it again.
