PrahaIN.cz brought several reports and photo galleries from Aquapalace Prague in Čestlice. Every time after publication, several visitors contacted the editorial office. They didn’t say a word against the service. But everyone stopped at the very high entrance fee.
One of the writers, whose identity we know, told us that in three hours he and his son left “about three thousand” in Čestlice. By the way, this is a doctor from Prague’s IKEM. “Next time I’m going to the Vltava with my colleagues, or I’m going to take a bath,” added the internist with a certain degree of exaggeration.
But he wasn’t alone.
We therefore looked at the details of the very high entrance fees.
For example, an afternoon ticket, valid from 15:00 until closing time, costs 749 crowns for a child, 849 crowns for students and 949 crowns for an adult. A family afternoon in warm waves costs 2349 crowns. Very little? It depends on the point of view. For example, the rental fee must also be added to the entrance fee. A towel and a bed sheet cost 50 kroner, and a bathrobe costs 80 kroner.
Every child above 150 centimeters will be charged a surcharge of 200 crowns, and every additional child above the family will pay a surcharge of 300 crowns. Our respondents also ate on the spot.
Price is quality
However, it is also necessary to look at the high entrance from the other side. Aquapalace Prague is not just a swimming pool with warm water and the possibility of frolicking on water slides. There is a fitness, a spa or a separate sauna world. You will find eighteen different heaters in it.
“I understand that,” replied the doctor quoted above. “But it still seemed very expensive to me, we really left the three thousand there in a few hours, that’s a lot. I didn’t think to look beforehand…” he sighed.
PrahaIN.cz recorded more similar reactions.
Aquapalace Prague PR manager Jana Jarošová points out that “in general, the opinion that everything is expensive is standard”.
“For the prices, we provide quality services, we maintain a constant temperature in the pools, saunas and hot tubs and we do not limit the services offered,” she added for PrahaIN.cz, stating that there was no outflow of customers.
The operator of the Aquapalace Prague sports and relaxation complex is the company GMF Aquapark Prague, headed by businessman Pavel Sehnal. The annual report for 2021 shows that the company is in good shape. Its “faithful and honest image” was also confirmed by the auditing company BDO.
