The building threatens to collapse, thirteen people evacuated to Cazères south of Toulouse
The weakening of a two-storey building, which had cracks, led to the evacuation of thirteen people on Saturday evening in Cazères in Haute-Garonne.
Residents of Cazères south of Toulouse had to leave their emergency accommodation early Saturday evening due to the threat of the building collapsing. Cracks were apparent.
In the evening, two building risk specialists were called to the scene. They were able to see the weakening of this two-storey building. This former dental hotel and restaurant has been converted into apartments and the office behind it has been evacuated.
Thirteen people had to quickly leave their homes. They were relocated either to a neighboring campsite or to the family.
In the process, the mayor of Cazères issued a decree of danger and prohibition to enter the accommodation.
Firefighters, law enforcement and the municipal authority were present at the scene.
