Two big matches in three days – Vienna and Salzburg on the horizon
HCB Alto Adige Alperia, after 6 heavy points obtained thanks to narrow victories in Klagenfurt and Fehervar, is preparing to return to the ice to face two very important matches for the standings between Sunday and another Tuesday.
At the Eisarena challenge against Salzburg
Sunday 4 December, at 4.30 pm (live on VB33), the red and whites will be engaged in the home ofEC Red Bull Salzburg: the Austrians returned to winning ways last night in Innsbruck, beating the Tyroleans 5-2 at the TIWAG Arena and ending a four-game fast. The Red Bulls, third with 39 points and 20 games played, are the first pursuers of Bolzano, second with 44 and 21 games played: in first place is Innsbruck, +3 on the red and white, but with two more games .
It will be the third direct meeting of the season between HCB and Salzburg: in the first two it was Bolzano who prevailed, winning both on 7 October in the city of Mozart (2-5) and on 6 November at the Sparkasse Arena (1-0) . It will be the challenge between the two least beaten defenses in the championship: the Foxes have conceded 49 goals, the Red Bulls instead 45.
Tuesday at home against Vienna
The Foxes will return to home ice on Tuesday, December 6 at 7:45 p.m., 17 days after the last time out. Guests will be spusu Capitals of Vienna, for the anticipation of the match initially scheduled for February 18th. In fact, the two teams were unable to face each other on 29 November at the STEFFL Arena, due to a failure in the cooling system of the Viennese plant, and it was therefore opted to switch sides: on 19 February, the Foxes will play in the Austrian capital. 17 days ago, we said: on that November 19th the Capitals were the guests who were the first to break the Bolzano ice this year with a 5 to 3 in their favour. For Bolzano, therefore, an open account, to be tried to settle in front of its own public.
House Bolzano
Bolzano, thanks to the cancellation of the match against Vienna, was able to count on a week of training under the watchful eye of coach Glen Hanlon and assistant Fabio Armani. The coaching staff, for Sunday’s match, will be able to count on the returning Cameron Ginnetti, while Dylan Di Perna will remain in the pits, struggling with an injury still being evaluated. The presence of Hannes Kasslatter, affected by a serious family mourning, is difficult: Diego Glück could therefore take his place, who could thus register his first presence of the season.
