Toulouse: a man sentenced to five years in prison for stabbing a drug dealer
A 20-year-old man was stabbed multiple times in what was believed to be a “simple” cannabis transaction. Tried before the Toulouse court, the author of the stab wounds was sentenced to five years in prison.
“I still have nightmares, I sometimes have trouble breathing. And I am always followed by a psychologist,” Kilian tells the Toulouse judges. His attacker was tried last week for having stabbed him in the chest and forearm several times. The young victim was on the verge of passing the weapon to the left. The facts date back to November 25, 2020,
A few months already, Kilian and two of his friends have been fueling drug trafficking via the Snapchat application. One of them then comes into contact with a new buyer. The young woman indicates that she wishes to “place an order for 100 grams of cannabis”.
The dealer and the consumer in question therefore agree to a meeting at the beginning of the evening. But what was supposed to be a “simple” narcotics transaction turns into a nightmare.
It is around 6:30 p.m. The two traffickers, Kilian and Mohamed, show up at the meeting place. Both are in the same vehicle when two men attack them, spray them with tear gas and one of them stabs the young Kilian with a knife. The defendant is confused by his DNA. The operation would have been commissioned by a third party.
From the prison box, this 24-year-old man tries to defend himself. “I’m sorry for the victims. I regret what happened. I feel guilty a lot, but I’m wrongly accused. I’m not a bad person, “he slips, a trembling voice. He was finally found guilty of the charges against him, and sentenced to 5 years in prison. The young woman at the origin of the Snapchat conversation, she claims to have simply “placed an order” on behalf of the accused, unaware that the latter was perpetrating such acts.The court sentenced her to a four-month suspended prison sentence for acquiring narcotics.Kilian and Mohamed received 12-month suspended prison sentences for possessing and selling narcotics.
