Toulouse: about to plant 820 trees in Montaudran
Jean-Luc Moudenc, mayor of Toulouse and Laurent Campredon, regional director of Cogedim Occitanie, planted the first tree of the 820 that will be planted by the end of 2023 in the new Toulouse Aerospace district.
On the initiative of the Toulouse metropolitan area, 820 trees will be planted in the heart of the Toulouse Aerospace district, in Montaudran, by the end of 2023. As part of a sponsorship agreement, the promoter Cogedim will contribute to the planting of 280 trees.
This partnership illustrates “Cogedim’s commitment to the greening of spaces and biodiversity”, according to the builder who “in Toulouse, as everywhere in France, involves an ecologist in each of its operations and attaches great importance to the revegetation of its projects”.
Create islands of freshness
Vegetation brings many benefits, both for the well-being and the quality of the living environment of the inhabitants, and to contribute to the fight against global warming. It makes it possible to create islands of freshness and to adapt to increasingly diffused heat waves. Vegetation is also essential for the preservation and development of local fauna and flora.
With this sponsorship operation, the promoter also intends its commitment to the service of the Toulouse area. On the Toulouse Aerospace site, the builder has developed Cœur de Quartier Montaudran, there is a living space bringing together housing, offices, shops, restaurants and a cinema.
Laurent Campredon, regional director of Cogedim Occitanie, declares: “By signing this sponsorship agreement with Toulouse Métropole, we would be reaffirming our commitment to the reintroduction of nature in the city and the essential biodiversity in the fight against climate change.”
