The City Hall of Prague 9 will enter next year in a provisional budget. The temporary arrangement must be approved by the representatives at their next meeting. On a provisional basis, the town hall can use only one twelfth of the previous year’s budget per month.
This follows from the councilor’s resolution published on website city districts. Municipal districts can approve their budgets only after the capital approves theirs. Prague 8 is also preparing for a provisional budget.
According to its website, the town hall has an approved budget for this year with revenues of approximately 629.22 million crowns and will spend 754.34 million crowns. The difference will be covered from savings from previous years. Over 400 million crowns are set aside for the investment. Current expenses should reach about 354 million crowns.
The functioning of the town hall in the budgetary interim period is limited. He can use only one-twelfth of the previous budget each month and at the same time he may not start new investment actions. He can reimburse only those investments that were started in the previous year and have not yet ended.
Prague 8 will also start the new year with a provisional budget. In this case, too, the councilors have already approved it, and next week, which will be discussed by the eight city districts. The city hall has an approved budget for this year with revenues of approximately CZK 846.26 million and expenditures of nearly CZK 899.74 million. He will cover the difference from his own money.
Prague representatives will discuss the budget for 2023 at a meeting on December 15. According to the information document presented to the representatives last week, Prague should manage revenues of CZK 99.65 billion and spend CZK 104.88 billion. Against this year, there are supposed to be higher incomes and expenses, which will affect the growth of energy prices and wages. Income will be affected by inflation. The difference between income and expenditure will be compensated by, among other things, money from the state. About 20.2 billion crowns are earmarked for the investment. The new city management will decide where the money will go.
