Prague: Forgotten saxophone in the tram: Adam is begging – can you help him find it?
A beautifully decorated saxophone that lasts for 100 years, is tatam. Unfortunately, Adam forgot it on the tram when he returned from the introductory lesson. Adam is all the more sorry that it is about a family heirloom.
“My stepfather got the saxophone from his wife sometime in the 1980s. He gave it to his daughter, my half-sister, and then he got to me,” Adam told Bleska. He asked for it himself, because hethe tones and melodies that the instrument produced inside were enchanting.
The saxophone that Adam lost was made in 1928, as the inscription suggests. It was a family heirloom passed down from generation to generation.

The enchantment of the saxophone
“I remember the moment when I saw a boy on Letná by the pendulum playing the saxophone and improvising a rap freestyle into it. It grew on me and I decided to learn the saxophone,” continues Adam.
“That’s why I asked for it and I got it on the condition that I play it. If not, I should return it. I had the saxophone repaired and started learning to play it. But I found out that self-study is beyond me. I’m sure I’ll learn with someone who will guide me through the basics,” says Adam. But the happy decision soon turned into incredible bad luck.
Tram No. 26
Adam him he forgot against trams, when he was returning from his first lesson ever. “I went to the evening event excited about it, and I still haven’t gotten used to it, having it with me like that large black case. So I left him in tram number 26 at the end of the rear carriage by the window. He was wearing stickers, one of them was Prague Zoo with penguins around. From the tram I’m on the final station Divoká Šárka got off around 5 p.m on Wednesday 23 November 2022,” he states.
“Learning to play this wonderful instrument is a big dream for me. I already am repeatedly called the traffic control of the city of Prague, unfortunately without success, they found a violin in the depot, but not my saxophone,” says Adam on his Facebook.
“I’m asking for help in finding him this way. Reward sure,” is Adam at the ends. Within a few days, his post was shared by a number of well-known and local Prague groups. As they say, hope dies last and it happens to be the last, which Adam now clings to. The hope and solidarity of people who don’t even know her help him at least spread his plea: “Thank you all for your support!” he concludes, hoping that some honest finder will come forward.
