DIJON: Women Equality Employment takes stock of 50 years of equal pay law
The cooperative is organizing a conference on Tuesday 6 December. Registration On.
The SCIC FETE – Women Equality Employment, is pleased to invite you on December 6 at 6:00 p.m. at Sciences Po Dijon to an event on the 50th anniversary of the law on equal pay between women and men, in the presence of Vincent- Arnaud Chappe, sociologist and researcher at the CNRS.
On December 22, 1972, a law providing for equal pay between men and women was passed in France. This specifies that “every employer is required to ensure, for the same work or for work of equal value, equal pay for men and women”.
Where are we today, in 2022? What about the pay gap? How to fight against persistent inequalities between women and men?
The event is primarily aimed at current and future employers, union representatives, employment and training partners, as well as the general public.
This will be an opportunity to meet two different eyes but who are delighted in many points:
– SCIC FETE, a cooperative deploying the interregional project “Professional equality: let’s continue the action” around the negotiation on professional equality between women and men in companies.
– Vincent-Arnaud Chappe, sociologist and researcher at the CNRS, author of the book “Equality at work: justice and mobilizations against discrimination” (Presses de Mines, 2019) and of the magazine “Equality by figures: social productions and uses of numbers against discrimination” (Cahiers de la LCD, 2020).
The event is free and accessible to people with reduced mobility.
