AS Monaco committed to the rights and protection of children
On the occasion of International Children’s Rights Day, AS Monaco mobilized for the second consecutive year alongside the Professional Football League, Ligue 1 clubs Uber Eats, CNAPE and Mohamed Bouhafsi, in favor of child protection
On November 10, AS Monaco welcomed thirteen children from the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence to the Performance Center, accompanied by the departmental services for specialized prevention and educational services in the open environment.
The starting point of an unforgettable adventure for these young people in difficulty, chosen to designate AS Monaco during the 2nd edition of the Childhood Defenders Tournament.
A magical day at the Performance Center
In order to make them live an exceptional moment, the Club du Rocher had concocted a high-flying program. After attending the training of Wissam Ben Yedder and his teammates, they had the happy surprise of seeing all the Monegasque players come to greet them and chat with them for a few moments.
Even better, the young Rouge & Blanc representatives were then invited to take part in a few exercises on the grounds of the Performance Center! Under the aegis of future globalists Youssouf Fofana, Axel Disasi, or even Breel Embolo, they were able to perfect their passes, sharpen their shots and even perfect their heading game!
This first highlight, a source of escape and hope for these children, is finally concluded by the presentation of their symbolic AS Monaco outfits to participate in the Child Defenders Tournament.
What love for these children! They have been through pain but they are resilient. They met with the future players of the world cup to live dream moments.
A huge thank you to the staff of the@AS_Monaco for this magical day! ♥️ https://t.co/HbtG6fgmtH—Mohamed Bouhafsi (@mohamedbouhafsi) November 11, 2022
French professional football committed to children
For the second consecutive year, the Professional Football League and all the Ligue 1 Uber Eats clubs have indeed wished to commit alongside the CNAPEthe federation of child protection associations distributed throughout the territory, to raise awareness among as many people as possible and to remind the fundamental rights of children, in particular children on social assistance for children (the right to healthcare, the right to have sufficient and balanced food, the right to schooling, the right to be protected from violence and all forms of discrimination, the right to play and have leisure , the right to have a family, the right to be surrounded and loved).
Through this mobilization, it proved difficult to show the children that they are not alone and that the world of football is committed to their side to accompany and support them in their journey of life.
This campaign also aimed to remind everyone of the telephone number 119 – Allô Enfance en danger, confidential and free call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – number to dial when you are a victim or witness of a child in danger situation. .

A tournament full of surprises and emotions
After a first at the Stade de France, it was the Parc des Princes which hosted the 2nd edition of the Defenders of Childhood Tournament on Sunday 20 November. On this International Day of Children’s Rights, 240 children represented the 20 Ligue 1 Uber Eats clubs by taking part in a friendly tournament, ultimately won by Paris SG.
The day was rich in emotions and marked by many events and surprises, such as the presence of Oli from the group Big Flo and Oli, sponsor of this 2022 edition of the Defenders of Childhood Tournament.
A wonderful memory that these children will keep engraved in their memory all their lives.
Charlotte Caubel, Secretary of State to the Prime Minister, in charge of Children
“Children’s Rights Day should remind us of our duties towards children, especially the most fragile. Through this tournament, our goal is to offer these children, often with complex backgrounds, a unique experience of sharing in an iconic setting such as the Parc des Princes.
With Amélie Oudéa Castéra, who made a point of attending this Child Defenders Tournament, we are convinced that sport is a tremendous lever for the integration and emancipation of our young people. Today is an opportunity to remember that. »
Mohamed Bouhafsi, CNAPE ambassador
“The lives of these children have been marked by very difficult events. Our goal is to offer them an exceptional experience that takes them out of their daily lives but beyond showing them that they have the right and the opportunity to experience moments of joy. Football has that power. They will remember it all their life. I thank all the participating parties who help to make this dream possible. »
