Frankfurt/Kassel – Now the taxi customers in Hesse have to dig deeper into their pockets! The reason: increased energy prices and the minimum wage, which has increased to twelve euros since October.
The result is hefty price increases!
► In Frankfurt, the basic price in the approximately 1,700 taxis is to rise from 3.50 euros to 4 euros. The travel price will be increased from 2 euros for a journey of up to 15 kilometers or 1.75 euros from a 16 kilometer journey to 2.40 euros per kilometer driven.

► In Darmstadt, the basic price rose to 4 instead of 3.50 euros at the end of August. The fare per kilometer is now 2.20 euros and has thus increased by 20 cents.
► In Wiesbaden, the taxi tariff increased at the beginning of August. The basic price there is now 3.90 euros during the day instead of 2.90 euros and 4.90 euros in the evening instead of 3.90 euros.

► It also became more expensive in Offenbach: the basic price there is now 5 euros instead of 4.50 euros. The fare per kilometer has also increased, from 1.85 euros to 2.20 euros during the day and 1.95 euros to 2.30 euros in the evening.
► In Hanau, the basic fee is currently 3 euros and the price per kilometer is 1.80 euros. Among other things, an increase in the basic fee to 4 euros is planned. The kilometer price should rise to 2.30 euros.
