Toulouse: Renaud back on stage in April 2023 at the Barrière casino
New surprise tour after those of Sardou and Polnareff: Renaud is back on the road in an intimate version and will be in concert at the Barrière casino, in Toulouse, on April 25 and 26.
Decidedly, the year 2023 will be that of all the surprises in terms of concerts. After the unexpected return to the stage of Michel Sardou and Michel Polnareff (read above), it’s Renaud’s turn to point the tip of his nose. But no big room, no spectacular Zénith as for his last tour, the Phénix Tour. The “irritating singer” calmed down and opted for the most perfect intimacy with venues such as the Casino de Paris, the Olympia or, in Toulouse, the Barrière casino-theatre. For his new show entitled “In my strings”, Renaud will be accompanied on the piano by his friend Alain Lanty and by a set of string instruments.
This return follows an album of covers, “Métèque”, released last May and which was a great success. The last time Renaud took the stage, in Toulouse, was in March 2017, in a rather rock configuration, with excellent musicians around him… and a whole audience to support him, in a fervor that pleased see. “Always standing” was then called the album of unreleased songs. A formula – magical – which more than ever suits Renaud, who has come back from hell and depression and is visibly ready once again to bring about not a “Hellish racket” but certainly a “winning Mistral”.
