Pidi championship: the WC in Qatar would fit in Prague, transfers by metro
The smallest country, but the stadiums are classically giant. The emir of Qatar commanded, and the hard-hitting workers built football splendors for forty to eighty-six thousand fans. The world championship will be played on an area about the size of Prague.
Although Qatar has an area of over 11,000 square kilometers, the vast majority of it is occupied by desert. The triangle around Doha, where the majestic arenas stand, was measured at 455 square kilometers, Prague has forty-one more.
However, we still stop at the Czech capital. Imagine if the biggest football tournament was held in the Czech Republic. In Prague, in that case (Dauha copied), you would find four stalls, from forty thousand upwards. Let’s remind you that there are currently two plus or minus twenty thousand people here. And nowhere else in the Czech Republic will you find a bigger…
You could also go to other places by bike. It wouldn’t be possible in Qatar, the metro will help you there. In the country, yes, in addition, the distances are tight. The town of Chúr is some fifty kilometers from Doha, so like, for example, Poděbrady is from Prague. The other three arenas are located twenty kilometers away. OK, let’s go to the world championship in Kladno, Mělník or Beroun, for example.
What a difference it is to Euro 2020, which was played a year later. Only the Czechs, who reached the quarter-finals at the tournament postponed due to covid, met Scotland, England, Hungary and Azerbaijan. Here it will be different, no planes, only short bus crossings. It’s just a shame that the one with the Czech lion will be missing.
