Zetor has developed a new model for India, check it out. They tested the tractor in Brno
Two new tractor models with a power of forty-five and fifty horses were presented by the Zetor Tractors company in recent days. They are intended especially for farmers in India, they will not drive on fields in the Czech Republic or Europe. “They are in a different emission level, but that is not the main reason. They are strictly for the Indian market,” said Zetor spokesman Dominik Moser.

The new Zetor tractors were developed in cooperation with the Indian partner VST Tillers Tractors. They follow the signing of a memorandum on mutual cooperation from 2020.
The basis is a powerful engine of our own production. They have simple operation, a short turning radius allows the new tractors to perform a wide range of work tasks even in difficult working conditions.
“The worldwide Covid-19 pandemic and the associated various restrictions and disruptions to the global market were a big deal for all of us. But also thanks to the professional approach of VST partners, we managed to overcome these obstacles and create a machine that has all the prerequisites to become successful. In recent weeks, the prototypes have successfully passed the final phase of testing in our production and development center in Brno,” said Zetor Tractors CEO Róbert Harman.

Zetor representatives anticipate that the first new tractors will take over visitors next year. “Working with Zetor allows us to bring to market products that offer higher output, convenience and simplicity, meeting the demands of today’s farmers. VST Zetor, as the tractor is called, is developed to provide the best possible performance for the best possible work results of our customers. We plan to launch more tractors in the near future,” outlined VST Tillers Tractors Executive Director Antony Cherukara.
Zetor’s operations in South Asia have a tradition dating back to the sixties of the last century, when thousands of Brno tractors began to be exported to India. Several partnerships with local producers followed in the form of licensing agreements or joint ventures. Between 1970 and 1990 alone, over sixty thousand tractors left the gates of Indian factories in this way. Since 2014, Zetor has been represented in the Indian market by the subsidiary Zetor India Private Limited.
