Polestar 3: Delivered in one year
Exactly three years ago, Polestar opened what it calls Polestar Space. Practically a showroom. For a car brand that bets electric, it was natural to choose the electric car capital above all others. Namely Oslo.
Here, Polestar has a room in the middle of the city centre. The idea is to be as accessible as possible to those who work, live here – or are just visiting the centre. Here you don’t have to travel out of town to find a traditional car shop.
In the spring of 2020, the first Polestar 2 were in place in the Kingdom. The rest is history, as the saying goes. From being a completely new and thus unknown brand, they are today among the established.
New family SUV
Polestar 2 can show great success. Well over 10,000 pictures of cars rolling on Norwegian roads. We think some of the success can probably be attributed to the fact that the Chinese car brand has close ties to Volvo. They are thus perceived as safer and more predictable, and many other new brands.
Either way: Polestar is not going to rest on its laurels. They have more going on.
First up is the large and sporty family SUV, which has naturally been named 3. Simply because it is the third model from Polestar.

Because while Volvo cannot deliver its cars before the second quarter of 2024, Polestar 3 must be in place within a year. At least if everything goes according to plan. Considering the audience’s interest, let’s hope it turns out that way.

Video review
Because while we were at the large-scale world launch in Copenhagen a few weeks ago, a pre-series car is now on its way to be shown to stakeholders in Oslo. As you can see in the picture above, there were quite a few interested people outside Polerstar Space before they opened the doors today.
Another person who had made the trip to Oslo to talk about the newcomer is product manager Andreas Andreen, who gives us a small review of the car he has been working with for the past few years. See video below.
