Anna Koulberg (Asterix Avo) after the duel with Antwerp: “The busy December month is quickly approaching us” | Volleyball > League A Women
Volleyball League AAsterix Avo achieved its third 0-3 victory in a row in Antwerp on Saturday. In the opening set there was a continuous leapfrog with the Brabo girls. Perfectly completed with 24-26 win. From the second set, coach Vansnick’s team dominated the match. The middle players Koulberg and Overwater dominate from the center of the net, with both a fabulous attack percentage of almost eighty percent.
Anna Koulberg – papa Koulberg trains the Antwerp men’s team – the most important points were to get the three points. “Because it was only after the first set that we really got control of the match,” says the young Yellow Tiger. “We have worked a lot on our cooperation with the game distributors. Today it worked well. Our counterattack on the advance also went well. We were warned about possible decompression after our showdown against Oudegem. The win is in, that’s the most important thing.”
Always fun
“Like reds, we take the work points from the previous game”, match coach Vansnick. “Fine-tuning the fast first tempo attacks was a clear theme during the training sessions. I’ve seen good moves, I’ve seen progress. The substitutes of Romane Neufkens and Kaat Cos also provide refreshing moments.”
Next week the duel with Charleroi is on the program. A nice reunion with game distributor Jutta Van de Vyver, ex-player of Asterix Avo. Within two weeks, the Beverse club will meet Hermes Oostende. Charlotte Leys and Yana De Leeuw, former members of Kieldrecht, are also working there. “That’s always nice,” laughs Anna Koulberg. “But they are not our only assignments. The busy month of December is quickly approaching us. Then we play the competition, but also the match of the Belgian Cup with the semi-finals against Haasrode-Leuven. (the first leg on the first weekend of December, the return leg on the first Wednesday of January, ed.) In addition, we will play the 1/16 finals of the CEV Challenge Cup against the winner of the game between Herceg Novi (Montenegro) against Tromsø (Norway).”
