Getting lost in the music in Vienna, Saturday 12 at Toselli – La Guida
Wedge – The Bruni Orchestra Association organizes at Toselli, in collaboration with the municipal administration, the eleventh edition of the Autumn Symphony Season which includes two concerts of particular artistic value, both for the musical content and for the level of soloists and conductors . It begins on Saturday 12 November, at 9 pm, with the “Lost in Vienna” concert, a full immersion in that lively and fervent musical atmosphere between classical and pre-Romantic ideas that was breathed between the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries in Vienna, then the musical capital of ‘Europe. There are two masterpieces in performance, both written in Vienna: Mozart’s concerto in D minor K 466 for piano and orchestra, one of the most famous by the composer from Salzburg, for the right balance between virtuosity and dialogue with the orchestra, in a sometimes intimate sometimes passionate and dramatic language, whose execution is entrusted to the young pianist Umberto Beccaria; the second symphony op. 36 in D Major by Beethoven in which the overabundance of ideas, the dramatic tension that transpires everywhere and the rich use of the winds make it a modern work, which marks the transition towards the tensions of the third “Eroica” symphony. The young Marco Alibrando, new to the Cuneo public, conducts the orchestra. Second appointment on Friday 9 December with “L’Italia virtuosa” which includes the first concert in D major by Paganini for violin and orchestra, entrusted to the Cuneo soloist Indro Borreani, and the fourth symphony, called “Italiana” by Mendelssohn. Master Andrea Oddone takes the podium.
Tickets at Promocuneo or at Toselli on the evening of the concert from 8.30pm.
