Dozens of leading wine producers from Bulgaria are participating in a large forum in Sofia
The eleventh edition of the largest forum for Bulgarian wine, DiVino.Taste, gathered 80 of the best local producers at “Inter Expo Center” in the capital. The event starts on November 11 and will run until November 13, with visitors able to taste over 500 wines.
Each winery has the right to participate with a maximum of 7 wines, and guests have the opportunity to have direct contact with the people behind their creation and can get to know first-hand their concept and philosophy.
Among the exhibitors are all three Bulgarian wine cellars, included in this year’s prestigious ranking World’s Best Vineyards 2022: Top 100 – “Midalidare Estate”, “Vila Melnik” and winery name “Dragomir”.
Dragomir said that most visitors to their winery are foreigners, who are often more informed about our native winemaking than most Bulgarians. Such events are therefore identified as important for the promotion of local producers. In the winery, as in many others, there are regular tastings and tours of the cellars and vineyards.
The organizers of the forum have also prepared a rich program of master classes, seminars, lectures and presentations. “The master classes of DiVino.Taste 2022, which will be held on November 12 and 13, are a good way to expand and deepen our knowledge on certain important wine topics – Bulgarian, Balkan and world,” DiVino said.
Over the years, DiVino.Taste has become the most successful event for the promotion of quality Bulgarian wine and winemaking. The forum is a professional platform for direct communication and direct contact between Bulgarian wine producers and restaurateurs, distributors, end customers.
The number of exhibitors has grown from 37 in the first edition in 2011 to 84 in November 2019. In the previous edition in 2021, despite restrictions due to the pandemic, 65 wine exhibitors took part. Visitors have also doubled, from nearly 3,000 in 2011 to over 6,000 in the past two years.
