After forwarding Maurice “Mo” Watson and Quentin Goodin, Telenet Giants Antwerp has a second reinforcement after Spencer Butterfield with Desonta Bradford. “Desonta is a 1m93 tall creative and athletic point guard with good defensive skills. He played for Brussels Basketball in the 2019-2020 season (average of 10 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists) and therefore already knows our competition a bit. Last season he played with Trento in the Italian Serie A and EuroCup (averaging 9 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists). Before that he was also active with the Hungarian Körmend. If all the paperwork is done immediately, he can already play next Saturday,” said general manager Eddy Faus.
The first game after the international break of the Belgian Lions and in the BetFirst BNXT League is for the Sinjoren on Saturday 19 November (Lotto Arena, 8 pm) against … Circus Brussel, the former team of Desonta Bradford. Avery Woodson’s interim contract expires on November 24. Last week it was already decided not to renew the American guard’s contract. The Antwerp club is still investigating a few ways to replace him. Spencer Butterfield has already arrived in Antwerp and is training with the Giants.
