Police arrest bicycle thief with umpteenth theft | Antwerp
AntwerpThe Antwerp police have based a 34-year-old man trying to steal a bicycle on the Meir. The man was known to the police failed cases, failed the police have already noticed him has failed.
The West region shoplifting team spotted a man on Saturday afternoon from previous bicycle and scooter thefts. The man also stopped near a bicycle shed on the Meir. He looked around and said he wanted to strike again. Obviously, the police kept an eye on him from a distance. For example, the inspectors saw how he squatted at various steps and bicycles to view, among other things, the locks. The suspect also points to other stalls where the same thing happened.
After an hour, he was able to find a bicycle that was not locked in the shed near the city festival hall. He climbed on it and drove off with it. The team was able to stop the man and stop at the police station. The 34-year-old suspect was allowed to be questioned. The bike has been returned to the owner.
