BORCULO- Muzieks, as well as the Antwerp choir tour from Friday 28 to Sunday 30 October, organized by the Borculo’ Mannenkoor. “We had everything with us: exceptionally good weather. Again to enjoy the free time, a terrace, a walk, to see the sights. But of course also of singing: that is now in our blood”. Let Felix Kamperman of the men’s choir know.
Church
The concert on Saturday evening in the church “De Brabantse Olijfberg” and little cooperation on Sunday morning in the same church were at a high musical level and received very well and positively by the unfortunately some spectators. The singers and the accompanying conversations will also have warm memories of the lunch we received in the garden after the church service. The spontaneous performance in the hall of the Central Station was heard by many, even a number of young people from Austria even sang the Zabjé song (the frog song). Splendid. The guided tour in the Sunday afternoon, with a novice exercise and the famous paintings of Peter deep deep.
city tour
The first meeting with Antwerp was Friday “het Steen”, a remnant of a castle and the original building of Antwerp, and an interim city tour by bus. We have gained admiration for the driver, who did not get cold from hot situations that even as a normal driver would sometimes scratch your head if you dare. What was also striking was the way in which Belgian guides manage to keep you fascinated with their explanation, even for at least 1 hours, during the city tour, in the Central Station or in the cathedral.
To eat
Of course you also need to eat and sleep. A good hotel, with an extensive breakfast and three different dinners in the evening, a buffet, a Lebanese restaurant and a closed dinner in “Het Witte Huis” were three different dinners: surprising, tasty, cozy. Definitely the last.
That last dinner was a good end to this choir, organized by the BM, with so many guest singers and associates, who all feel connected to each other and fully experience the “starting music” as well. But also open up.
That is why the BMK would like to thank the guest singers from Ulft and the accompanying partners for their positive contribution!
