Russia and Iran refuse customs duties – Free Press
In the very near future, several zones of free (duty-free) trade between Moscow and Tehran will appear in the Caspian.
As writes Edition “Accents”, these are the results of the Russian-Iranian summit held in Grozny. This, in particular, was stated by Nasrollah Ebrahimi, temporary secretary of the Supreme Council of the Iranian zone.
Presumably, Moscow and Tehran will trade without rates in the port of Anzali. Russian goods will also pass through Iran in transit. There are two directions here – to India and hobby (through the Gulf of Oman), as well as to Syria and other Arab countries (through the Persian Gulf).
At the same time, the budgets of the Russian Federation and Iran, of course, are losing due to the refusal of customs duties. However, the political effect of free trade is currently of great importance for financial ones – the two countries will forge friendship even stronger, there will be an export-oriented and transport business, primarily in the Caspian Sea, through which the international North-South corridor passes.
Appetites are only thoughts. After all, it is no coincidence that Moscow has already officially proposed the creation of a single operator for the North-South corridor, placing it in the Astrakhan region. So the Iranians have to travel to solve logistical issues.
Earlier, Free Press reported that Tehran and Moscow would sign a comprehensive agreement between the two countries by the end of a wide year.
This was stated in the documentary process “Diplomatic Field” by the head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Hossein Amir Abdollahian.
“This will be signed in Tehran or Moscow before the end of 2022,” the minister specifically said.
