Parks, flea markets, workshops… What to do on November 1, in the Nord – Pas-de-Calais?

It’s not always easy to know what to do on a holiday. here are some outing suggestions, proposed on tuesday 1uh November 2022in the Nord Pas de Calais.
Stores open
This can be an opportunity to do some shopping for the winter. If it is impossible to be exhaustive on the independent shops, know that many shops will open their doors to the public this Tuesday. And especially in shopping malls. But beware, the schedules are sometimes different.
You can stroll through the many Aushopping centers in the area, or in the metropolis of Lille at L’Usine and McArthurGlen in Roubaix. Westfield Euralille and Lillenium will also welcome visitors.

Zoos, parks and escape games
You can take advantage of this day to visit animals in zoos. Bio-Topia, in Fort-Mardyck (Dunkirk) is open all day this Tuesday. The Maubeuge zoo too. Be careful, it will soon close its doors for the winter (November 11).
Escape games and leisure venues generally open their doors on the 1uh november. You can tester of many puzzles, in the Nord and Pas-de-Calais. But be careful, it is better to look ahead if there is room left: the slots are often quickly filled, on public holidays!
This is an opportunity to try original activities, such as: the Trampo Jump, in Hénin-Beaumont or Bruay-la-Buissière; the game in the style of “Fort Boyard” Prison Island in Lesquin; or the Koezio (special missions for the whole family) in Villeneuve-d’Ascq…
Amusement parks are also open on this holiday. And good news: everyone is wearing the colors of Halloween, during the All Saints holidays. Bellewaerde, Plopsaland or Walibi on the other side of the border, or Dennlys Parc in Dennebroeucq (for the little ones)… The choice is yours!
Flea markets
Some flea markets will be held on this day, even if the list is shy, compared to those of other holidays.
On Tuesday, you can take advantage of these sales:
- Coulogne (Pas-de-Calais): indoor flea market, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., village hall (rue des Hauts Champs), 60 exhibitors, free entry;
- Hasnon (North): toy market, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., village hall (54, rue Jean Jaurès), 60 exhibitors, free admission;
- Hesdigneul-les-Boulogne (Pas-de-Calais): indoor flea market, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sports Hall (rue de la Gare), 100 exhibitors, free entry;
- Saint Martin Boulogne (Pas de Calais): indoor flea market, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., André Condette center (14, rue de la Colonne), 80 exhibitors, free entry.
Family discoveries
This day is an opportunity to discover the emblematic places of the region. You can take a walk on the slagheaps, set off to discover the charming towns of Cassel (high perched), Saint-Omer (and its famous “Coffee mill), Arras and its cobbled streets or its citadel, the same for Lille or even the beautiful Wimereux and its colorful villas.
To enjoy a moment with the family while having fun, places are highly recommended in the area. We quote:
- The Cupola of Helfaut (which offers several 3D planetarium sessions);
- Villeneuve d’Ascq Science Forum (exhibitions for all ages and two sessions at the planetarium);
- Lewarde Mining History Center (discovering the mine!)…
Tours and workshops around Egypt
The Egyptobus, which offers entertainment around the current exhibition at the Louvre-Lens (on Egypt and hieroglyphs) invites itself to the Parc d’Olhain, in Maisnil-lès-Ruitz, during the Toussaint. This Tuesday 1uh November, workshops and visits will be offered during the day. More informations this way.
