Cycle Music non grata presents an opera Hans Krásy Engagement in a dream – a drama about love, cunning, intrigue and human dependence based on Dostoevsky’s short story Uncle’s dream. Co-production of the National Theater in Prague and the Moravian-Silesian National Theater in Ostrava. The only performance in Prague.

Composer whose name today most of us associate with children’s opera Brundibarsucceeded in an ancient story based on Dostoyevsky’s short story Uncle’s dream about the beautiful Zina, the unfortunate Fed, the treacherous Pavlo, the strange prince and the cunning Marja Alexandrovna perfectly combine music with a dramatic plot. The opera, full of sound-painting surfaces, returns to the stage of the State Opera, where it had its world premiere in 1933. Director: Jiří Nekvasil. Musical staging: Marek Šedivý.
