Beautiful Russia, the future cannot be built by itself / Vyacheslav Pravdzinsky
The rift in our community now is not along the line of liberals / conservatives or Westerners / patriots, but along the line of saying / doing.
Anyone who does something for the development of Russia happens regardless of his views.
On the other hand, an “authoritative expert on the right way”, showing high moral considerations (while not going beyond the perimeter of social networks in his actions) is, on the contrary, a dubious assistant in the development of the country.
Beautiful Russia, the future will not build itself. Also, it will not be built from the fact that it will be the chorus of your entire Facebook feed. There is only one recipe – to memorize the sleeves here and work. Work in the executive branch, in education, in the public sphere, in business.
You need to learn to talk not only with those who are unpleasant to you, but also with those who are unpleasant to you. Due to the fact that rejection can occur where there is misunderstanding. You need to understand the incarnation and convey your thoughts in such a way as to be understood by it.
Here is one example of such mutual understanding. In 2009, in Moscow, entrepreneur Alexander Mamut supported the idea of Ilya Oskolkov-Centriper to create a private Strelka Institute for Media, Architecture and Design. The idea was (and remains) the children of the liberal-minded part of the Moscow crowd, previously consolidated by the Afisha magazine.
In 2010, the active work of the Institute began: an educational program with the participation of European architects, a summer lecture program for citizens, discussions, discussions, and the popularization of “new wave” urbanism.
In 2011, Sergey Kapkov became the director of Gorky Park and began a large-scale renovation of space in Moscow.
In 2013, the Denis Leontiev Institute’s first enrollment came out together with Varvara Melnik natural Strelka Design Bureau, a team of architects and projects that is actively starting to work with private customers.
In parallel, a community is formed around the Institute, which actively promotes the theme of urbanism by all available means at all levels of government, business and society. Urbanism is becoming fashionable.
In 2015, a graduate of the Institute, Natalya Fishman, became an assistant to the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, and the very next year she showed the entire urban community that improvement is possible in the regions.
In 2015–18 in Moscow (under investigation by KB Strelka) a large-scale reconstruction of city streets for the World Cup is underway, showing that European improvement can be not only in parks.
In 2016 Strelka, commissioned by the state corporation DOM.RF, continues a large-scale competition during which dozens of projects for the renovation of parks, squares and squares are being developed for 40 Russian cities.
By 2017, the request for systemic tools for financing improvement is already becoming extremely obvious, which includes the National projects of the adopted program “Formation of a comfortable urban environment”. According to the same number of billions of rubles for the improvement of space in all cities of Russia.
At birth, United Russia in the State Duma adopted and put under control the implementation of the program, the essence of which was born in the liberal party and was also actively promoted by it. At the same time, this party (personally and on its information resources) publicly supports all the way what they are supposed to comply with according to their status: from the FEM agenda and LGBT to Navalny and Co.
Beginning in 2018 throughout Russia in the image and likeness of the Institute for Urban Development of Tatarstan (created by Natalia Fishman) Competence centers for the development of the urban environment are implementing best practices collected and systematized by Strelka Design Bureau and the institute of the same name. Including such manuals Standard for the integrated development of cities, which is no longer only landscaping, but also focuses on the planning of residential development and, in general, urban planning in Russia.
From 2018 to 2022, the Strelka Institute implemented the architects.rf educational program, which brought together 400 applicants from all regions of Russia, charged with promoting the bright ideals of urbanism in their territories. Many of them have become or are the chief architects of their cities, councilors to mayors and heads of regions, practicing elected architects.
It can hardly be said that all the large-scale changes in the urban environment that have affected all the cities of Russia today have occurred thanks to the “arrow”, but it can be said with certainty that their merit in this is significant.
And this is just the example when the “people of the world” have brought real benefits to their country, no matter how much they differ in the environment of beauty from people in the offices of power or the reach of the deep people.
