Quantity limitation
With a personal permit, a maximum of 20 m3 of firewood can be collected per year. However, others within the family can request the permit, and the same applicant can also visit other forests for firewood.
The dead tree remains
In certain parts of the forest, not all fallen twigs can be taken during collection. A sufficient amount of dead wood lying on the ground must be left behind, because it is necessary for the healthy functioning of the forest.
One hundred thousand fine
Violators of the rules or those collecting in prohibited places without a permit can be fined up to one hundred thousand forints by the forestry department.
