The personnel in charge of the competent property then embark on an important investigation work mobilizing scientific and technical police resources as well as collections of testimonies.
The investigation led to the identification of a 33-year-old Frenchman, homeless, already arrested in 2021, sentenced to prison for a series of 80 burglaries and recently released.
The alleged burglar was arrested on October 10 in downtown Dijon. The man then recognizes 50 thefts and attempted break-ins. He was referred to the prosecution and imprisoned.
“He had sold the goods, no doubt through well-organized networks”, indicates the police who also express their “satisfaction” to have solved a case of “real offense”.
An alleged attacker found thanks to the geolocation of the stolen smartphone
On October 17, on a dialogue website, a 28-year-old Dijonnais gives an appointment with a male pseudonym. The meeting is fixed rue de Bourgogne, not far from the Montchapet school group. There, two individuals welcome the man who is sprayed with tear gas and beaten. His mobile phone is stolen, homophobic remarks would be made.
The victim quickly files a complaint with the police who launches the investigation using the geolocation of the smartphone.
The next day, the police arrested in the city center of Dijon, an individual to seize and while trying to resell the stolen phone in a store. On October 19, a 19-year-old accomplice son was also arrested.
They are both placed in police custody, brought before the prosecution on October 20 and then placed under judicial control pending their judgment.
No deal at the Mail where “every time, we win!”
On the afternoon of October 19 in the Mail district of Chenôve, at an identified deal point, police officers from the local security group discovered heroin and cocaine in the common areas of a building.
Shortly after, it was the turn of the specialized field brigade to go to the same place to flush out another hiding place of heroin and cocaine, the products supposed to be added to cannabis resin.
Two days later, October 21, the local security group returned in the morning to the same address and again unearthed narcotics in the ceiling of a cellar. A few hours later, a new passage allows you to get your hands on new amazing products.
In a way, it’s like at the carnival, at this address, “every time, we win!” In fact, the strategy of the police to come in several times, repeatedly, is a response to the fact that the traffickers split the products to avoid seizures.
In all, at this address, in three days, the police therefore made the dry discovery of 33 grams of heroin, 29 grams of cocaine and 140 grams of cannabis resins representing an overall market value of nearly 3,500 euros.
