The women’s futsal players are getting further away, after the collapse even the Slovaks did not win
They prepared for the qualification of the European Championship for an unusually long time, in the same group they believed in a historic progress. But after two matches, the Czech futsal players have little hope left.

Michal Odehnal’s men did not win Wednesday’s match played in the Brno hall in Vodová street, in which they lost to Bosnia and Herzegovina 2:3. On Thursday, they urgently needed to beat the Slovaks and they entered the match excellently, after nine minutes they were already 2:0 up. “I cried my voice out, I can’t talk anymore. We told the girls that if they don’t win, they’re going to walk around the monuments, and I don’t really want that. But seriously, the main motivation was the victory, which we were very close to. The team was well motivated and he fought,” praised Odehnal for the representative website.
Remaining match
Saturday
14:00 Bosnia and Herzegovina – Slovakia
17.00 Hungary – Czechia
Both matches will take place in the Brno hall in Vodová street, admission is free.
The Czech national team managed to react brilliantly to Slovakia’s reduction, scoring the third goal just before the break, the fourth just two minutes after returning to the scoreboard. But the subsequent Slovak pressure brought about the collapse of the home players, who lost the three-goal lead within four minutes, and the match ended 4:4. “It was decided that we slacked off at 4:1 and pulled back unnecessarily, despite the fact that we tried to heckle the girls to play forward as well. After the equalizer, the blanket was already on us,” Odehnal regretted.

Before the last match, the Czech futsal players have just one point, to advance they must beat the Hungarians by a higher margin on Saturday from five o’clock in the afternoon and believe that Bosnia will draw with Slovakia. “We will go for the win in the third match. We will prepare, we will rest on Friday. I think that we have gone up in terms of performance over the last season and we have perhaps set the right path where to go,” he added.
