Russia returned to Ukraine to carry out strikes on cities
On Tuesday morning, Russia again launched rocket attacks on Ukrainian cities. Local authorities report explosions and air defenses in Kyiv, Dnipro, Krivoy Rog, Kharkov and Zhytomyr.
In Kyiv, in Odessa, Kirovograd, Cherkasy, Poltava, Dnepropetrovsk, Nikolaev and Chernihiv press conferences of Ukraine, an air raid alert was announced.
Mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko said that in the morning there were explosions in the city again. Deputy Head of the President’s Office Kyrylo Timoshenko later confirmed three detections at Ukraine’s power supply facility in Kyiv.
In the Dnieper and Zhytomyr, after the explosion in Zhytomyr, the light was partially lost. Smoke rises from the city.
Mayor of Krivoy Rog Oleksandr Vilkul informed about explosions in the city. Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov wrote on his telegram channel: “Kharkov is under fire – there were two series of explosions in the city in five minutes. According to preliminary information, one district of the city’s industrial enterprises was hit.”
At night, Russian troops fired on Nikolaev with S-300 missiles. One person died.
Throughout the week, Russian troops have been attacking energy facilities in Ukraine. The most massive attack was last Monday, October 10th.
