Martine Akersveen is in this week’s STILORAMA
– I was maximal before, but have been minimalist in recent years.
In this column, Melk & Honning interviews specially selected people about, among other things, style, inspiration, boom purchases, favorite clothes and what is at the top of the wish list.
In this week’s Stilorama, we have had a chat with Martine Akersveen about style and inspiration.
She is 23 years old and comes from Bærum, but has just got her own apartment in Oslo.
– Right now I’m just working with Instagram, but maybe I’ll use my bachelor’s degree for something more sensible eventually, she says to Melk & Honning.
Who is your Norwegian and who is your international style icon?
– Hmm, I don’t have any particular style icons, but I think my best friend Josefine Vogt has very nice style. Internationally, she must probably become one of the supermodels of the 90s and 2000s.
Which city gives you the most inspiration?
– Copenhagen, of course.
– I love the vibe and the style there, says Martine Akersveen.
Where is your «everyday uniform»?
– It must be a good vintage blazer, a nice sweater, a big scarf and loafers.
What do you wear to a party?
– It feels like forever since I’ve been to a party this harvest. I’ve taken a little break from it. But my go-to is otherwise a cute dress with some cute heels. Not the best until autumn, so then it quickly becomes oversized dress pants, a cute top and maybe heels, if not boots.
What is your favorite thing in your wardrobe?
– It must be my dear bunad, which my mother, grandmother and aunt made.
What is your biggest boom purchase?
– All the Zara garments I think are going to be great, but then I end up only wearing them once or never.
You have five minutes before you have to run out the door; what are you doing
– Pulls up brows, uses tweezers, puts on a chunky sweater and loose pants.
What is your benefit right now?
– A good, dark winter coat that does not attract hair and dust from everything else.
– So DM me if you have one.
Which trend can Norway take a break from now?
– It’s actually nothing this season I’m like that oh to.
Minimalist or maximalist?
– I was maximal before, but have been minimalist in recent years.
Who would you raid the wardrobe of: Carrie Bradshaw or Bella Hadid?
– Before I would have definitely said Carrie, but now it’s Bella Hadid.
Jeans or dress pants?
– Oh, difficult, I actually don’t think I can make up my mind here.
Leather jacket or blazer?
– Blazer, of course.
