Drunk driver smashes traffic sign and commits hit-and-run | Antwerp
AntwerpA unilateral traffic accident occurred on the VIIde-Olympiadelaan in Kiel in Antwerp on Sunday, in which a driver drove a traffic sign onto the plain. He committed a hit-and-run but was later arrested. He appeared to be intoxicated and behaved aggressively towards the police.

The owner’s daughter who had driven her boyfriend that night, caused an accident and was now sleeping in. When the police made the man, he became aggressive. He directed all cooperation, scolded the police and provoked them out. He was clearly drunk. To prevent an escalation, the police decided to question the 29-year-old man at a later date. His driver’s license was revoked for 15 days.
In Ekeren, on the same night, a man drove into a parked vehicle. The 39-year-old driver had deviated from his lane in Kloosterstraat and collided head-on into a parked car across the street. His car had to be towed. The man takes a negative breath test, but tested positive for drug use. His driver’s license was also revoked.
