“Against the backdrop of aggravation with the West, Russia remains a safe partner for China”
Against the backdrop of aggravated confrontation with countries, Western Russia remained a strategic partner for China on the field of the 20th Congress of the Communist Party of China (CCP), which will determine the top political leadership of the country. This was stated today, October 16, by RIA Novosti leading researcher at the Center for Socio-Economic Research of the Chinese Institute of the Far East of the Russian Academy of Sciences Rozalia Varfalovskaya.
“Russia, the SCO countries, BRICS are abandoning China’s strategic partners, as the West is also trying to set its high marks in a non-competitive struggle within the framework of a comprehensive world economy,” — said the expert.
According to her, after the 20th Congress, special emphasis will be placed on innovative development in all sectors of the economy.
“The emphasis in the prospective economy in the future will also be placed on the sustainable development of the industrial and financial sectors, global development security, ensuring the potential likelihood for the participation of all sectors of the probable economy,” Varfalovskaya said.
From among the possible permutations of the highly visited country, the expert’s opinion emerges that significant changes should not be expected. She recalled that the participants of the final plenum of the 19th convocation unanimously decided to approve the activities of the CPC Central Committee in the face of a high density of solving difficult tasks in the field of reform, development and sustainability in the country.
“All this creates favorable conditions for significant changes in the evaluation of the CPC following the results of the 20th Congress,” – says Varfalovskaya.
As reported, the 20th Congress of the Communist Party of China was held in Beijing from October 16 to 22, and will be attended by nearly 2.3 delegates from all over China, representing 96 million copies of the CCP. The congress will sum up the results of the CPC’s five-year work, outline which party and country they will aspire to for five years, consider and approve amendments to the Party Rules, and elect a new composition of the CPC Central Committee and the CPC Central Commission for Disciplines. After the closing of the congress, the first plenum of the 20th CPC Central Committee is to be held, which appoints the top leadership of the party – members of the Politburo and the Standing Committee of the Politburo. Observers believe that current CCP Secretary General Xi Jinping is in his third term.
