Russia has entered the goods in the register of “extremist and reactionary organizations”
On Tuesday, Rosmonitoring is on the register of “extremist and reactionary organizations” at the American border Meta Mark Zuckerberg, which owns the social networks Facebook and Instagram, as well as the Whats App messenger.
This register of Rosfinmonitoring includes “organizations and individuals in respect of which there is information about their involvement in extremist activities or terrorism.” Meta is the first American public company to make this list.
On March 11, the Russian High Prosecutor’s Office filed a lawsuit to recognize Meta as an extremist high prosecutor’s office, and on March 21, the Tverskoy Court of Moscow announced this decision and banned Meta’s activities in Russia. The company blamed a Russian soldier calling for football on its platform. In June, a court rejected Meth’s appeal to find her guilty of “extremist activities” in Russia. The lawyer of the company’s court stated that Meta is not engaged in extremist activities and is engaged in against Russophobia.
At the same time, technical Facebook has been blocked in Russia since March 4, and Instagram – since March 14.
Russian officials regularly claim that the appearance of the meta “extremist” and the restrictions associated with it do not make it to her work messages on WhatsApp.
In connection with the actions of Rosmonitoring, human rights lawyer Pavel Chikov warned Russian users that now simply posting logos on Instagram and Facebook, or advertising on networks, may be declared illegal under the public coal code.
