Where does our Europe end? The summit in Prague should have been bigger
The first one was a terrible winter, in Astana in February 2009 it was about minus forty, or at least that’s how it seemed to me. The second reason was the sentence of one of the Kazakh politicians who drew our attention to the fact that, from a geographical point of view, Kazakhstan is largely a European country. And the part of Kazakhstan that geographically lies in Europe is larger than the largest European country, France.
The North Atlantic Alliance is one step away from attacking the Russians
I remembered this experience on Thursday during the summit at Prague Castle, when I watched the trial of more than forty politicians of the European Political Community, that is, a kind of European Community of Nations, at the Matyáš Gate. Among the countries that were invited to Prague, I was not only missing Kazakhstan, but also the whole other side of the Mediterranean. Israel, Tunisia, Morocco, to name only the countries closest to Europe.
I think that was a big mistake. And from the point of view that the inspiration of the summit was French President Emmanuel Macron, this is incomprehensible. This needs to be fixed.
The European Union needs allies more than ever. Also for the reason that she lost the country she counted on in her future, i.e. Russia, for a long time, perhaps for several generations. It is good that in the face of aggression we have given ourselves the Russian value of an alliance with Great Britain, Brexit not Brexit.
Should we carry two flags for Ukraine in the East as well?
It is great that Turkey was at the summit. That the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia were also not afraid to come, of which the first two countries are even officially Russian allies. But for me, the new European community in Prague was not complete. Therefore, I hope that the next summit will be even more numerous than the ten in Prague.
