Toulouse. Three serial trips for the TBC
> The essential
Unbeaten after two days, the TBC begins this evening a series of three consecutive trips in 9 days (Chartres, then at the Federal Center on the 11th, in Poitiers on the 15th). The assessment that will be drawn at its end will allow the leaders to set a specific objective. The rest of the season for Stéphane Dao’s players therefore largely depends on this series of trips.
> Chartres
A heavy defeat (67-89) at home against Challans to start the season. An away victory (71-80) in Poitiers for compensation. We don’t know what to think of the first performances of the Chartrains. What is certain is that they are a priori among the favorites of the hen. They have an experienced and former international game menu (Marc Antoine Pellin, 8 caps in 2008). Back Yann Siegwarth, fourth season at the club, is a benchmark in the division. While the American Anthony Smith and the Guyanese trained at ASVEL, Gide Noël seemed to have already found their marks.
> The TBC must gain consistency
“It’s obvious that two wins in two games to start the season is positive. But it could be better. In these two wins we lead by 15 points and we let the opponent get back together. So we’re shaking a bit . Without reason.” Perfectionist President Philippe Laperche would have liked his troops to show more consistency during the victories at Vitré and against Berck.
He will be told that the TBC version 2022-2023 is a team with a relatively young average age, that it is therefore still perfectible and that this two out of two is significant as it is never easy to win in Vitré.
From Bourg-en-Bresse, where he lost Tuesday evening in the 32nd final of the Coupe de France, the TBC came back with two good news. Uncertain, Cédric André finally played and Olivier Yao-Delon returned to competition. Two presences which will have all their importance this evening in Chartres.
