Eintracht Frankfurt: Police identify Hitler salute fans from the game in Marseille hessenschau.de
The two men who are said to have shown the Hitler salute at the Eintracht Frankfurt game in Marseille have been identified. The public prosecutor’s office in Frankfurt can only initiate criminal proceedings against one of the two.
The state protection of the Frankfurt criminal police, in cooperation with the French police, identified the two men who are said to have shown the Hitler salute before Eintracht Frankfurt’s Champions League game at Olympique Marseille. As the Hessischer Rundfunk learned from investigators on Friday, only one of the two men belongs to the Frankfurt fan scene.
The public prosecutor’s office only has jurisdiction in one case
The person concerned is a 21-year-old who the Frankfurt public prosecutor’s office assigns to the “problem fan scene”. Said fan is probably also the one who reported to Eintracht in Marseille and denied the allegations. Criminal proceedings were initiated against the 21-year-old.
There WILL NOT be such a thing for the second man, at least in Frankfurt. The alleged Eintracht supporter is said to be a Bosnian living abroad who does not belong to the fan scene. The German legal system is not responsible for him.
Investigations also because of pyro attacks
In addition to the Hitler salute, the pyro attacks of the German judiciary also work. The Frankfurt public prosecutor’s office is investigating because unknown Eintracht fans shot firecrackers in the Marseille fan block. Such attacks are repeatedly documented on video. Above all, however, attacks in the opposite direction, namely from the Marseille fan block to the away block. A Eintracht fan from Friedrichsdorf (Hochtaunus) was seriously injured in one of these attacks.
