EPC Summit in Prague ONLINE: Prague guests of historic meetings within the framework of the EU Presidency
Former head of diplomacy Lubomír Zaorálek also appeared at the summit. He told Blesk I report that the role of the Czech Republic should not be diminished in that it organized the first broader meeting of the European political community. “We live in a time that is more order than order and is uncertain and terribly fragile. I’m not surprised that so many countries have shown interest in it and come and talk to each other,” he stated. “The topics are as dramatic as they haven’t been in a long time, so let’s talk about him looking for the meaning of the 44 grouping and if this is how they want to meet,” he added.
“For us, the way of presenting our country is extremely effective. Although I say mercilessly that we did not invent it so as not to flatter ourselves, but it is a big thing that it takes place in Prague,” stated that the first idea of a similar meeting at the international level was French President Emmanuel Macron. He emphasized that Prague should hold such large meetings more often, because it is also convenient and a beautiful city. “We shouldn’t just wait for the presidency to be here,” Zaorálek guessed.
He pointed out that such informal meetings can really do a lot, and he compared them to the annual meeting of the ministers of foreign affairs, where they also bring up things that they want to talk about and which the given country considers important – but may not be clearly given and predestined for action due to the informal format. He also finds it wonderful that the UK has the chance to regain key alliances after Brexit.
