War in Ukraine – Prague: Red color at the residence of the Ukrainian ambassador
The headquarters of the Ukrainian Embassy in Prague in Bubenč was painted red at night for today. Police spokesman Jan Rybanský confirmed to ČTK that the police have been dealing with the case of flooding of the fence of a house in Charles de Gaulle Street since night time. The paint hit several dozen meters of the wall. According to ČTK information, it is the Ukrainian embassy.
“I can confirm that an unknown perpetrator poured red paint over the fence of a house in Charlese de Gaulle Street in Bubenč, Prague 6. We are investigating who it could be,” a police spokesman told ČTK this morning. According to him, the incident happened around 03:00 today, the offender damaged the fence, information signs and stairs. The police officers are dealing with the case, they are currently examining him for suspicion of criminal damage to another’s property.
Instead of Russia, it caught Ukraine
In the past, similar events took place at Russian Embassy in Drummeri. His building was sprayed with red paint symbolizing blood by protesters on the day Russia launched its attack on Ukraine. Back then, on February 24, in front of the Russian embassy demonstrated against Russian aggression dozens of people.
Protests were then repeated in the following days, red paint appeared on the steps in front of the Russian embassy. Activists are calling for action called Blood moonduring which people had to pour five liters of artificial blood on any property of the Russian Federation anywhere in the world, and thus draw attention to the victims of the war in Ukraine.
