Russia and India may conclude an agreement on the mutual screening of films
Russia and India may include an agreement on the mutual screening of films in the cinemas of the countries. This was reported by TASS with reference to the chairman of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations Vinaya Sahasrabuddhe.
According to his forecasts, countries can agree on waiting for forecasts: 50 cinemas will be reserved in Russia, during which only films of Indian production will be shown during the week.
The Indian side, in turn, is doing the same. “It’s all possible. If this happens, the Indians will watch Russian cinema, and the Russians will be developed in the red Indian countries. [фильмами]’ said Sahasrabuddhe.
He added that Indian films should be shown with Russian subtitles, while Russian films should be shown with Hindi subtitles. Mutual screening of films, according to Sahasrabuddhe, will help in the development of the film industry in countries.
“We also need to work on possible technologies. Pune has the Film and Television Institute of India. There are so many advanced technologies, I’m sure they are used in Russian cinema. It is possible to exchange technologies in this area,” Sahasrabuddhe said.
