Prague – At today’s post-election meeting, the representatives of Prague Sobě, Pirátů and STAN agreed to call on the Together coalition (ODS, TOP 09 and KDU-ČSL) to hold a joint meeting with all the aforementioned parties. At the same time, they discussed the program of the individual parties at the meeting. The leader of Prague Sobě and the mayor of Prague 7, Jan Čižinský, representative and member of the Pirates negotiating team Jana Komrsková (Pirates) and MP and STAN negotiator Jan Lacina told journalists today. The post-election negotiations started already after all the votes were counted last weekend, when the winning coalition Together stated that it was a priority for them to form a coalition on the government’s blueprint, i.e. with STAN and the Pirates. Spolu won the elections in Prague ahead of ANO and Pirates.
“We agreed that we would invite Spolu to a joint meeting in the format Praha Sobě, Piráti, STAN and Spolu. We agreed on this unanimously. It arose from a joint discussion,” said Čižinský.
According to Čižínský, it is important for Praha Sobě to continue helping the people of Prague in the energy crisis, supporting public transport or building rental housing. “We didn’t solve personal issues. We only called on all parties to the joint broad discussion,” said Čižinský.
According to Lacina, STAN entered the negotiations without personnel and management requirements. “What we have been saying from the beginning is a coalition based on the government one supplemented by Praha Sobá. It is a relatively broad and safe way to manage the city,” said Lacina. “We have to sharpen each other’s edges and explain to the participants that if I set a priori conditions, it will be very difficult for us to reach an agreement. We would rather not like the ANO movement to rule in Prague,” added Lacina.
The pirates still insist that they do not want the defendants and people connected to the Dosimeter case to be in the coalition. They alluded to some Spolu candidates. “We invited Mr. Zdeňko Zajíček (ODS) to negotiate on the basis of a broader negotiation of a coalition of democratic parties without populists. We asked Spolu for a date for the meeting,” said Jana Komrsková, Prague representative and member of the Pirates’ teaching team. According to her, program penetrations remain a priority for the Pirates.
The coalition Together for Prague won the municipal elections in Prague this year, winning 19 mandates in the council, which has 65 members. ANO ended second with 14 mandates. The third Pirates will have 13 representatives. Čtvrtá Praha Sobě has 11 mandates, five representatives will have STAN in fifth place. Sixth is the SPD with three mandates. 43.91 percent of voters took advantage of the election.
