CHENÔVE: The Department proposing to finance video protection equipment
After the aid of 100,000 euros voted by the Metropolis of Dijon, the departmental council of the Côte-d’Or plans to grant aid of 150,000 euros to the City of Chenôve to rebuild its CCAS burned down in July.

Reconstruction of the CCAS in Chenôve: exceptional support for investment and for video protection equipment
François Sauvadet, President of the Departmental Council of Côte-d’Or, proposes to the Departmental Assembly to vote exceptional support of €150,000 to the town of Chenôve for the reconstruction of the Communal Center for Social Action, which has suffered serious damage following an arson attack on the night of July 13 to 14. President Sauvadet is also reaching out to the mayor of Chenôve to participate in the financing of video surveillance equipment.
“First partner of the municipalities and guarantor of human and territorial solidarity, the Department is currently responding to facilitate and accelerate the rehabilitation of the municipal social action center of Chenôve. It is an essential public service for the inhabitants and I want it to continue to be provided. This is why I am proposing to the Assembly, during our meeting on October 21, to grant exceptional support of up to €150,000 to the town of Chenôve,” explains President Sauvadet.
And to continue: “As I did the day after the arson, condemning this violence in the strongest terms, I reiterate my support for the mayor of Chenôve. The Department is at his side in the fight against delinquency. Also, I proposed to him that the Department participate in the financing of video-protection equipment, making it possible to secure both the population and public property”.
