“A very beautiful experience – said Patrizia Nardi – which has produced exciting results, ranging from what has been a real form of heritage education that we have ensured for photographers of festive communities, to the reconfirmation of the audiovisual as a tool. privileged to document the volatility of intangible assets in forms that go beyond the traditional documental approach to making them an introspective tool of knowledge and awareness, capable of generating emotions and maintaining a strong bond with these assets even when they are not there, such as ‘it happened during the pandemic ».
“We hope that the workshop has helped to overcome the phase of suspension of the holidays – said Antonio Politano – bringing out the gaze of territorial narrators who – through their images – have told the part of the widespread heritage linked to the transport of large shoulder machines: the first and the next, the stories behind, the devotion and the pride, the sense of belonging and identity, the places of faith, the daily life of the communities that prepare those events, between continuity and changes ” .
«The Central Institute for Intangible Heritage has been working alongside the Network for several years now, for the realization of various projects – explained Leandro Ventura, Director of ICPI -. In this context of renewal of the forms of documentation of a fragile heritage and its restitution there is also Heritage Reportage, a project that intends to involve the same communities in the conservation of their cultural heritage through images ».
“With Heritage Reportage for the Network of Large Shoulder Machines – said Claudio Bocci, President of the Culture of Travel Association – we believe we have also made a contribution to the implementation of the Faro Convention, which makes communities more protagonist at the same time. guarded and promoted the value of the cultural heritage as a resource for sustainable development and the quality of life of the territories ».
The “Heritage Reportage” project was created on the basis of the funds of Law 77/2006 for the protection and safeguarding of Unesco Heritage, with the administrative referent of the Municipality of Sassari and the technical-scientific direction of Patrizia Nardi.
