Four weeks suspension for Richie Arnold
Richie Arnold will be on enforced rest. On September 17, on the occasion of the defeat of Toulouse on the lawn of Pau during the penultimate match of the 3rd day of the Top 14, Richie Arnold saw the referee show the red card to meet him. The Australian second-line was sent off following a high tackle on Pau third-line Lekima Tagitagivalu. While he was automatically suspended during the reception of Racing 92 last weekend, Richie Arnold was able to plead his case before the Disciplinary Committee of the National Rugby League (LNR). However, the latter was not lenient towards the Toulousain. Indeed, Australia was found guilty of “dangerous play”, more precisely the fact of “tackle an opponent in anticipation, delay or in a dangerous manner”.

Ri.Arnold back for the reception of La Rochelle
In its press release, the NRL specifies that the “medium degree of the scale of gravity” was retained against Richie Arnold, which meant a suspension of six weeks. Taking into account the disciplinary record of the Toulousain, this sanction was increased by one week but, due to the attitude of the player before and during the hearing but also the fact that he expressed remorse after his gesture, the sanction was finally more lenient, reduced by three weeks. Indeed, Richie Arnold has been suspended for a total of four weeks. Taking into account the Stade Toulousain calendar, the second line will not be able to play again before October 16. Consequently Richie Arnold will miss the matches against Montpellier, Clermont then Brive but will be able to run for a place on the score sheet during the closing poster of the 8th day of the Top 14 against La Rochelle.
