Toulouse: a young man saved from lynching by HLM security guards
The agents of GITeS in charge of securing the Toulouse HLM housing estates saved a young man who was beaten up and kicked by a dozen individuals in the Bellefontaine district.
This kid from the working-class neighborhoods of Toulouse owes a great debt to the agents of the GITeS (inter-district grouping of tranquility and safety). They rescued him from a very perilous situation. The dates back to this Friday, September 23 at the end of the afternoon.
A GITeS team made up of around ten employees carries out a round of surveillance around and in the “La Tourasse” building in Bellefontaine. The agents heard cries and spotted a crowd and abnormal movements coming from the parking lot of the “Camus” residence which is nearby. These security professionals quickly identify a dozen individuals with whom they regularly come into conflict. These young people are known in the neighborhood to cause nuisance and fuel drug trafficking. The agents of the GITeS see them kicking the young victim rolled into a ball on the asphalt.
The latter manages to get up but collapses a few meters longer. His attackers want to finish their job but the GITeS agents block and put an end to this lynching attempt. The young man attacked is bleeding from the nose, has bruises on his face and shoulder as well as impaired consciousness as he has been hit on the head. The firefighters are alerted and smoke in charge of the victim.
Their intervention is secured by the GITeS and by the Toulouse police immediately alerted and who very quickly went to the scene of the brawl. Regarding the attackers, one of them was held on the spot by a GITeS team and arrested by police officers. As a reminder, the GITeS is a shared service for monitoring the buildings of five social tenants, created in 2018 in order to fight against the feeling of abandonment of the inhabitants affected by disturbances to the tranquility in their buildings.
