Lidovky.cz: The elections turned out a bit like Solomon. Each party or group finds its success in them, no one received the express approval of the citizens. How do you interpret the election results?
Municipal elections usually offer many subjects an opportunity to find something positive and claim to be the winner. Or at least a successful one. It’s the same this time. And all politicians make the most of it. I don’t completely agree that the voters didn’t give anyone a yellow card – that’s definitely the case with STAN.
A year ago, the Mayors had extremely high ambitions for the entire territory of the republic, but now their results are very restrained. In Prague, they had the idea that they would be well over ten percent, and they barely got to eight. Just before the elections, in Prague they criticized the eight percent as a success, but it was already a virtue out of necessity. So I think the Mayors got a big warning. Likewise, social democracy, which succeeded only where it somehow hid behind other names.
Lidovky.cz: What about the Spolu coalition? Does he have reason to celebrate?
