DVB-T2 multiplex 24 with new configuration, transmitter Prague – Malešická in operation
Digital Broadcasting, the operator of DVB-T2 multiplex 24, has confirmed the reconfiguration of its network in Prague, which consists of the extension to the Prague – Malešická transmitter and, conversely, the switching off of the ÚTB quota. The operator has published the current list of sites from which DVB-T2 multiplex 24 will be available in the capital from October 1 on its website.
“The Digital Broadcasting s.r.o. company started today, Monday, September 26, 2022, the broadcast of the DVB-T2 Broadcasting Network “24” (Multiplex 24) from the third new location Malešická in Prague 42 km. At the location Prague ÚTB (Olšanská) we are gradually reducing the power and on Friday It will be switched off on September 30,” said Martin Roztočić, the operator’s director of external relations, adding: “During September, we will be broadcasting simultaneously from all 6 locations in Prague.”
From the updated list of DVB-T2 Digital Broadcasting transmitters, it follows that from October 1, the original Ládví and Novodvorská elevations, as well as the newly launched City Tower (Pánkrác), Zličín and Malešická areas, will be in operation in the capital city. The biggest attraction of the television network are the programs of the Nova media group (with the exception of Nova Cinema), the main program is even available here with a better image quality than in the Czech Radiocommunications network.
