PHOTO: Zubřice tormented the best in the cup. He is looking for two more reinforcements
In the opening round of the cup, in addition to a 3:2 win over Frýdek-Místek, his team surprised with a balanced game against champion Prostějov.
Zubřice then played the best duel of the final tournament on Friday evening, when in the tiebreak next to Olympem Prague 11:8. In the end exactly 2:3.
“We should have won the match. The match also had a good crowd and the performance of both teams was basically equal to an extra-league match,” Radim Vlček was satisfied.
Final standings of the League Cup:
1. Liberec
2. Olymp Prague
3. Beasts Brno
4. Revision
5. Prostejov
6. Frýdek-Místek
Přerovanky, who did not win a single game in the last extra league, then took the team from Liberec and the Brno Beasts. “Both of these matches would also go for a tiebreak,” noted Vlček.
Now everything will be heading towards the extra-league premiere, which Zubřice awaits on October 22nd at home against Prague’s Olymp. Until then, Přerov would still like to get a setter and a blocker due to the necessary rotation in matches and training.
“We will see what the financial possibilities will allow us, from which it will all depend a lot. But playing a season with one player (Michaela Zatloukalová, editor’s note) is impossible, and starting with two blockers is a huge risk,” Radim Vlček realizes.
